Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation releases 2018 Annual Report
The Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation has released its 2018 Annual Report outlining the Foundation’s charitable giving during the 2018 calendar year. The 2018 Annual Report highlights the Foundation’s activities in empowering women educationally and culturally through out three (3) initiatives: Scholarships, Grants, and MUnited Nations Funds.
Among its many accomplishments, the MSU Foundation has awarded $2,500 in scholarships to assist members with furthering their undergraduate and postgraduate education, including the first ever scholarship to a high school senior. In June 2018 the Foundation obtained IRS status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization and has since established partnerships with AmazonSmile, Google for Nonprofits, PayPal, and Facebook Charitable Giving.
The 2018 – 2020 Board of Directors, including Josie Rios (President), Alicia-Ann Caesar (Vice President), Jerilee Fonseca (Secretary), Olivia Rodriguez (Treasurer), Saira Ayala (Director of Educational Initiatives, and Jacqueline Rueda (Director of International Initiatives) have worked hard during the inaugural year of the Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation to host three (3) large-scale fundraising events; Mother’s Day Tea Party, Run Like An Amazon, and Giving Tuesday.
As we begin 2019 we recognize that there are many valuable and meaningful charities to contribute to. We want to sincerely say thank you to all of you who have donated your time, talent, and money to supporting the Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation.
