Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation releases 2019 Annual Report
The Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation has released its 2019 Annual Report outlining the Foundation’s charitable giving during the 2019 calendar year. The 2019 Annual Report highlights the Foundation’s activities in empowering women educationally and culturally through out three (3) initiatives: Scholarships, Grants, and MUnited Nations Funds.
Among its many accomplishments, the MSU Foundation has awarded $2,500 in scholarships to assist members with furthering their undergraduate and postgraduate education; provided $730 in Grants to Individuals to attend convention and Undergraduate Chapters for their on-campus programs; and donated $5,600 in MUnited Nations Funds to Individuals for personal emergencies and Organizations for international disaster relief operations.
In March 2019 the Foundation sponsored our first MUnited Nations Missions Trip! We partnered with Family Services Network of New York and our sisters dedicated over 900 hours of service toward rebuilding homes, engaging in nursing homes and visiting shelters for women and children to donate supplies. Thanks to our amazing supporters we were able to donate a total of $5,166 to Family Service Network!
The 2019 – 2021 Board of Directors, including Josie Rios (President), Ysa Felix (Vice President), Saira Ayala (Director of Educational Initiatives), and Melinda Diaz (Director of International Initiatives) have worked host several other fundraisers and events including Run Like An Amazon, and Giving Tuesday.
As we begin 2020, we recognize that there are many valuable and meaningful charities to contribute to. We want to sincerely say thank you to all of you who have donated your time, talent, and money to supporting the Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation.
