On March 6th & 7th, seven (7) women traveled to Orlando, FL for Mu Sigma Upsilon Foundation’s second MUnited Nations Mission Trip! They spent 2 days being active in the community and learning about MSU’s national philanthropy. The first stop on March 6th was to To Write Love on Her Arms headquarters in Melbourne, FL where they took a tour of the facility, met the staff, and spent time putting together promotional materials that will be used for TWLOHA’s future events. Afterwards they spent a few hours cleaning the beach at James H. Nance Park in Indialantic, FL before heading back to Orlando. On day 2, the MSU Foundation partnered with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County for their Women’s Build 2020 event to build a home for a special family in the Silver Pines Pointe Community in Orlando, FL. Along with other local female organizations, such as the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), they spent the day moving large materials like sheet rock and 2x4s and contributing to the build of a single family home. Thank you to Melinda Diaz, Ysa Felix, Lillian Sierra, Carolina Velazquez, Paula Paya Santin, Rosa Marquez, and Rinsha Ballani for dedicating your time and love to this mission! Check out the video below with some highlights of the trip!
